Why do scientists only see what they WANT to see?

Whenever there is a volcano or earthquake, it's automatically PLATE TECTONICS! I mean it's JUST a theory. They always just assume that it is plate tectonics; They never leave room for the God explanation. I mean what if God was picking up the earth and shaking it? These "scientists" employ a false dichotomy. They collect evidence and then come up with an explanation. So ridiculous.
