Does taking out oil by digging earth or mining earth for minerals can lead movement in tectonic plates?

well i was thinking does digging earth can cause the movement in techtonic plates that can cause a quake , since when we dig earth for coal mining or when we dig for oil we are taking out something that is creating gap and leaving space for plates to move
